Delhi University started its page on social networking site Facebook on Monday.
The university's website http://www.du.ac.in/ will re-direct students to the official University of Delhi page on the social networking site where students can get information about anything related to the university.
The page is complete with news related to the admission procedure, information bulletin 2011-2012 and provisions under various quotas according to the university guidelines. The page also consists of links to e-open days, videos, photos, events and a link to the university website.
The page also contains information on the newly introduced semester system, starting this academic year. There were also numerous requests from students to make the page more user friendly.
Besides undergraduate courses, the page also provides information regarding postgraduate courses.
